If you're old enough to remember WinAmp then you may also be old enough to fondly remember the amazing music of the Commodore 64. When WinAmp was very popular (1998), I wanted a way to play my C64 SID files through that app. Since nothing already existed, I created SidAmp with my friend Nick Kovac.

SidAmp was largely based on the fantastic work of others (specifically, the hardware emulation).
It became reasonably popular at the time, and a bunch of people created skins for it (check them out below). Also really neat was the creation of a theme tune by Hans Axelsson (TDM) of Triad.
