In high school (1996), my friend bought EA Sport's Cricket 96 (aka Ian Botham's Cricket). It was a fun game but we were both disappointed by the lack of real player names. So I reverse-engineered the game data and built an editor to allow a bunch of game data to be changed.

One of the shortcomings of Cricket 96 (and many cricket video games, to be fair), was that bowling became very exploitable very quickly, to the point where you could easily dismiss the entire AI team for less than 10 runs total. This robbed the game of all fun, so I made another editor to account for this. Chase96 would generate a save game with a certain run target, skipping the less exciting bowling phase, and jumping straight into batting.
